Abayatai by Taiba began in 2021 with a simple frustration: modest wear that looked either plain or overdesigned, rarely both elegant and easy to live in. Taiba started sewing her own pieces in a spare room, and word spread quietly among friends before it ever became a store.
Today every abaya still starts the same way it did then — a hand-drawn pattern, fabric chosen for how it moves and breathes, and finishing done by a small team of seamstresses rather than a factory line. We keep collections small on purpose, so every piece gets the attention it deserves.
We're here to make beautifully crafted, personalized abayas accessible, effortless, and uniquely yours, blending the heritage we love with the individuality of modern Dubai.
Hand-Finished
Every hem, cuff and placket is finished by hand, not machine-sealed, so pieces move and drape naturally.

We cut in limited runs rather than mass quantities — fewer pieces, made properly, restocked when they sell out.
